We just got back from the Olympic Torch Celebration at Murray's Mountain and Tony Rose Arena. Hundreds of people, young and old braved temperatures of -6 to be part of the festivities. I was so proud to me there and proud to be part of our small town known as Orangeville, Ontario just north west of Toronto.
My heart was beating quite quickly as our local hero Brian Mackie jogged down the road with the flame. What a great celebration and perhaps a once in a life time opportunity.
Many people including ourselves were wearing Canadian clothing they purchased to help support our athletes and to let everyone know, that we are all Proud to Be Canadian. Well done Orangeville!
