I go to Council Meetings about as much as I blog, rarely. After running into a co-worker today who told me he attended last nights budget meeting, I am making sure I attend the next one Saturday morning at 9:00am.
Apparently, there are a lot of proposals on the table that I feel will not be right for the residents of Mono and will only lead to an increase of our property taxes. Having not attended the meeting, I cannot speak first hand. A major concern is a 1.3 million renovation to our township offices. I don't know if you all remember, but a couple of years ago the offices were renovated to make the building more user friendly.
The residents of Mono Township elected this new council. We need to attend this meeting and let them know that we disagree with their proposed budget.
