Got an email the other day from NDACT. The Highland Companies have filed an application for a 937 ha quarry to be dug up to 57.6 metres (189 feet) below the water table.
Not only will this affect the re-sale values of properties in Melancthon and Mulmur, it could in-adversely affect our water supply all the way to Lake Ontario.
